“Streamline Access to Public Records with a Modern EDMS”

Since 2009, Louisiana’s Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has hosted an online portal for public records within an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS). In 2020, DEQ enhanced the customer experience by streamlining the user interface with fast document viewing, advanced search capability, personalization features, and self-serve how-to guides and videos. The modern system also features role-based security and information protection. In this session, learn about the technical, legal, and change management challenges the DEQ faced, as well as other lesson learned in the deployment of a state-of-the-art, public records retrieval system.
