I was reading a blog posting today pointed out on Twitter titled "SharePoint is Causing Information Management Problems."  The article was pointing out how information in dead SharePoint project sites is basically lost to the organization.

I have never attended the Enterprise 2.0 Conference (www.e2conf.com), but I did monitor the backchannel via Twitter during the most recent conference in Boston last week.  If you haven’t used Twitter in this manner before, it’s a great way to monitor the discussions and happenings at an event.

I read a blog post this week titled "...and then the consultants leave" by Andrew Crow.  It really caused me to pause and think about what do I leave behind for my clients after an engagement is finished.

It is often said that given unlimited budget, resources, and time, anything can be accomplished. Reality is we always have limited budget and resources. An often we do not have an unlimited time frame. So how do we make the most given our limitations?

As companies grapple with the recent economic changes, I’ve noticed a definite shift in how projects are being resourced. Gone are the days of full time team members and dedicated resources. Today’s project managers are faced with relying more heavily on part-time team members. But this new reality doesn’t have to be a bad situation.

Let’s face it, part-time teams are normal! People are much better at working part-time on several projects than we were years ago. It also helps that collaboration tools are better now too.
