Access Sciences Takes Place Among the Fast Tech 50

Access Sciences was honored among 49 other technology-related businesses in Houston on Friday when the Houston Business Journal announced its selection of the 2008 Fast Tech 50. Janice C. Anderson, CEO, Anne G. Tülek, President and Glen Hilford, Director Technology Consulting Services attended the ceremony at the Intercontinental Houston Hotel to accept the award on behalf of Access Sciences.

Of the distinguished list of honorees, Access Sciences came in at #42, being one of only six companies to rank on the list four times. Access Sciences is also one of only two companies on the list over 20 years old. Anderson founded Access Sciences in 1985.

To qualify for the Fast Tech 50, a company’s headquarters, or a foreign company’s U.S. headquarters must be located in the Houston metropolitan area. A minimum of 51 percent of the company’s consolidated net revenues must be involved in the original manufacture, design or development of technology products or delivery of services. A nominee must have a minimum net revenue of more than $200,000 in both years. Rankings for the 2008 Fast Tech 50 were determined on the revenue growth percentage from fiscal 2006 to fiscal 2007.
