Access Sciences was formed in 1985 as Access Information Associates.  The company's roots are in the oil and gas industry as well as engineering and construction.  The initial focus of Access Sciences was centered around governance consulting and file room management. 

In 2003, the company's name changed to Access Sciences Corporation.  During its history, Access Sciences has expanded services to include information strategy development, technology consulting, change management services, and additional business function outsourcing services.  Since its beginning, Access Sciences has served nearly 200 client organizations in twenty industries in 14 countries.
